For those that have used the BMW hooks and the standard flooring including the rubber mat do you find it is up to the task of holding a fully laden fridge? I was a bit concerned the weight would damage the seats underneath, they don't have that thick a backing.

No issues at all Corine, strong as and my Waeco has not moved. I find the rubber mat also locks it down well.

Thanks for the feedback Daniel. I was considering building a false floor and mounting a fridge slide to that. I don't want to leave it in full time though and really have nowhere to store it out of the vehicle (sucks not having a garage). The only drawback with the luggage hook approach is having to climb into the back to access the fridge.

True , the free jelly belly jelly beans offset that a tad, yummo!

Honestly but it has not really bothered me but I am 185cm tall, so I can reach it ok. Before we had our Driftas stolen it was a right pain getting into the fridge, slide or no slide.

Digging up an old thread ....

Is this only applying to the VX & Kakadu? I have a 2012 glx and would like the same set up, the pram in the back keep flying around and i'm sick of it.

            Thanks

              Hi all,

With the current exchange rate, buying from pelican doesn't save all that much, so I'm wondering whether I should pay the local price of $78x4 and get ones from Toyota instead. Problem is I can't find a picture of them anywhere and the local dealer doesn't have them in stock, so they can't show me either. Does anyone by a chance have a picture of the original part 6631005040? Are they better/same/worse as the BMWs from pelican?

              Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I saw those (on eBay actually), but the problem is that they don't fold when not used, so I'll need to take them out and store somewhere. Possibly I could put them into the empty pocket on the backdoor, although they'll probably rattle in there. Still, an option worth considering, of course.

Yep, those look all right - just need a sliding mount Perhaps I can combine the two myself. Thanks

Or just bolt more along the track. You just need the ones near the flap to have the circular ramp around it. The rest can just be normal D rings.

The plastic base of this is pretty big @ 105mm

Ended up buying these: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/282024277413 - should receive them next week, so hopefully they work out all right.

I got 4 of the Toyota 6631005040 ($310 for 4). They are very good/high quality. Easy to move/adjust/fold/remove.

Thanks for the photo! They do look much neater than the hooks I bought off eBay, but obviously work in the same way At least now I'll know what to expect should I ever need to change.
