Sam - nice work! I went for white as well - hoping that hides some scratches and dints as times goes on. Where did you end up sourcing your BFG's from - end up with Jax? Also notice you went the bigger size. I'm sure you will be very happy with the truck.

I'm a bit like you - getting it setup - just ordered my wet seat covers (front & back) and cargo barrier gets fitted next week (autosafe boronia). Then need a bracket and will be fitting existing redarc controller with existing fullriver battery for Waeco to be filled with beer!

It should be like the one on the left!

bloody hell.. that is shocking.. apprentices should be sacked for that kind of crap..

you spend all this money on a new shiny car, and get something like that..

hopefully it hasn't turned you off and i hope the service you get continues.. it looks like you need some maps or something for your troubles.

Hasn't turned me off Silvo. Absolutely love the car and hopefully it'll be good as new once they replace the interior trim and fit the bracket properly.

Terrible that who ever fitted didn't have the pride in their work to admit they'd stuffed it up and rectified it or at least admitted to it and agreed to fix it for me.

The tyres were from Nathan at Jax in Caufiled South. Fantastic price and service. Only $725 changeover for 5 tyres plus a free compressor (BFG promo). Highly recommended. Tyres are great so far with a slight increase in width and height and no noticeable increase in noise.

I have the Redarc isolator too and will get it fitted by the inhouse Toyota auto elec at the first service along with an Anderson plug for charging the camper battery. Just have to fit my new Sidewinder battery tray first.

Silvo, can you post a photo of where you fitted your Redarc?

          Cheers, Sam.

              Thanks Dan, much appreciated.

Did you have to drill any holes to fit or is there an existing hole/s to use?

              Cheers, Sam.

Re: Bought my new Prado today

from memory there was a 6mm hole there already, which i picked up, and i drilled another and tapped it to match.

for the circuit breaker i had to drill them

                  Sam,

Your list of mods includes "new Toyota mudflaps"... Is this a solution to the previously documented problem of the standard ones being too short? Or for some other reason? I have just taken delivery of my GXL and the mudflaps are still too short, and borderline useless.

                  Cheers,
                  Karl
