The 2.8 is no power house but more than adequate when not towing. Having said that, we tow a 1.3T small van and it has no trouble, just a bit slower off the mark and up long hills.
I was underwhelmed by the auto gearbox and bought a manual. I reckon the 6 speed manual is infinitely better than the auto, it's very well matched to the engine characteristics.
And it is capable of considerably more than 110kmh.

The Auto is for when my wife is driving and i am catching up on sleep etc.
The manual is better as you can control it better.... You can see whereas the automatic is reactive?
you can use the auto in s mode which allows you to select the gears. The auto outperforms the manual in just about any situation. Pretty sure the manual has less torque and a lower towing limit.
