Looking for a bit of help all. I have a 2012 Kakadu and have a pretty good understanding of the off-road systems, or so I thought.
Anyway, in L4 the VSC is automatically disabled and shows the light on the display (check). Now, without the multi-terrain select enabled (i.e. no mode selected) it shows "TRC OFF" (check). This would indicate to me both the VSC and TRC are disabled in L4, much like holding the button for 3 seconds in the GX/GXL ( I have also owned a GXL). Pressing or holding in the button in the Kakadu appears to have no affect on anything in L4 without a multi-terrain mode selected.
But here's the kicker... When driving on soft beach sand (generally when under steering to keep straight) one of the systems kick in with the tell tale flashing of the indicator light which we are all mostly familiar with.
Can anyone kindly explain to me what is going or what I am doing wrong? Appears to happen with both the centre diff engaged and disengaged I think... But can't confirm 100%.
Cheers
Mike
