  • Overall length Prado 150 with bullbar?

Hi everyone, first time poster, long time lurker - such a good forum, lots of useful info!

Hoping people can advise, looking to purchase 2020 Prado shortly and after overall length (excluding tow bar as can remove this) with bullbar fitted. Probably an ARB or similar. Reason being as I need this to fit in my garage...

Appreciate if some kind folk can do a quick measure so I can work out whether to get the flat tailgate or not (hoping to retain the extra tank). Thanks!

    2018 GXL.
From bottom/centre of the grille, just under the big Toyota emblem, add another 200mm to clear the number plate in front of an ARB Summit bar.

If you are going to fit a winch make sure you get the ARB hinged frame for the number plate.

Thanks RPP, I have exactly 5.3m....so good to know. I like the Summit bar, you recommend this?

The Summit bar is fine, and their hinged frame for the number plate hides the winch completely.

I'm on my second Summit Bar tho. I bent the first one around a large kangaroo at 110Km/hr one night just 3months after installation.
The bar did its job and protected the car. But the compression member compressed about 10mm so had to replace the unit.

The only annoying thing is the antennae mounts.
I wish they were a little further to the sides and that they had a slot into the bolt holes to make it easier to dismount an antenna without pulling the entire cable back out of the cabin.

The TJM T-13 Outback bull bar is a more slim line option. Puts about 135 mm forward of the front bumper according to the measurement I just did. I have it on my 2018 Prado GX. It has recovery points built in, which is one of the reasons I got it over the ARB option.

Remove the big plastic lozenge from the spare wheel to save 8.1 Kg (yep, I weighed it), shave a few more cms off the Prado's length, allow you to hang a wheel bag off it, and minimise the damage when the auto roller door closes on it ;-).

Thanks Grinbot, maybe the T13 is the way to go when space is tight. I will look into it, hoping to get a deal later in the year at the 4wd show!
