Hi has anyone ever experienced rodent/mice getting inside there prado ? It hasnt happened from doors or windows been left open and the car is spotless as it is cleaned every week? I was also tolled that the cabin filter has been damaged. And was replaced? Has anyone had similar issues and if so do you know how they entered? Its 2020 surely they can make cars that are rodent proof??

From memory there's a few rubber plugs in the rear floor of the vehicle that connect the exterior/interior. Given that it's water proof when everything is in order, it is definitely rodent proof. Far more probable they snuck in through open doors/windows at some pointSteve

Hi krypto and nudgebar thanks for your responses have checked over everything. The cabin filter was pretty torn up. In saying that how do they even get to that point. And what is stopping it from happen again. Also. Started getting into the wiring harness aswell which I'm guessing is the soy based product. All getting foxed at the moment not covered by insurance and not covered by Toyota.

Dead easy for mice to get in via the plenum, cabin air intake. The various plastic screens have generous gaps at the edges.
I'm forever vacuuming out leaves etc that work their way down.
The other spot is the large bungs down the rear quarters.
If you've had a tow car fitted, might pay to check they replaced the bungs properly.
The left rear one near the jack is the usual spot for the trailer wiring to go from inside the cab out to the tow bar.
