Following a quick dip where water splashed over the bonnet and windscreen, my blower motor took in some water and proceeded to dump it on the floor inside. I have never experienced this in another vehicle and none of the others in the group had the same issue. Is this a known design issue with the 150 series and is there anything that can be done to avoid it happening again when wading?

There is a drainage system under the inlet grills to drain the water, if you park constant under trees etc it may be blocked.HKB Electronics, manufacturer of the Alternator Voltage Booster, Silver 2008 D4D,Lifted,Underbody protection, Alternator Voltage Booster, Tiger Z winch, Lightforce DL, Air Horns, Tanami Drawers, Drop down fridge slide, Outback cargo barriers, Rotronics dual Battery system, Polaris GPS, HF/UHF/VHF, Radio speaker combiner, Long ranger water tank, Diff breathers, Inverter, Snorkel and others

I have had sand in both the 120 and 150 air con filters after some vigorous sand driving. I would assume if sand can get in, so can water.
I put an old filter in every time I head up a beach, it saves replacing them too often. If you get a bit of sand in there it will go through the vent system and is a bit annoying.
