Reversing camera switch on manual 2016 Prado

Hi to all.

I am having a problem with the reversing camera & reversing lights not coming on at times when reverse is engaged (manual gearbox)

Sometimes if you select reverse a couple of times it will switch on but other times not so.

There is obviously a switch to activate this & it is not working at times. Has anyone else had this problem.

I must crawl under the vehicle & see how accessible the switch is ??? possibly remove it & see if it can be cleaned or serviced.

Any ideas appreciated.

The switch should just be a screw in component on the gearbox. Traditionally TMC have put them on the side of the box.
Suggest you also check wiring and connectors for Reverse while under the car.

A grey 2-wire connection on the driver's side of the manual gearbox. Identified as C41 in TMC drawings.
