  • Re: When is the new generation Prado due?

Interesting to note then that it has under-car spare, flip-up tailgate and right hand side fuel filler. All major changes to the current design and particularly the last two would make me think it isn't a new-gen Prado.

      I would like to apologize.

After looking at the web-site again it does in fact say it is the 2010 GX-470, however after comparing it to the two vehicles there are a lot of similarities to the 200.

Overall size, front fender size. Rear lift gate, 3rd brake lights, rear windshield wiper, D-pillars, fuel filler.

I know the rear tail lites are soft fitted, but it's definitely a 200.

Sorry Mates, I guess everything on the Internet is not 100% true.

Not sure if its been mentioned previously as I have read through the entire thread, but 'The West Australian' newspaper reported in their motor section that the new Prado will be unveiled/available in late 2009.

Same write up in the Advertiser on Thursday. Had the same picture that we have here. Supposed to be inveiled at either the US or Tokyo Motor show.

That's what I'm hearing too - if so, where are they getting this from?

Usually, there is "buzz" around this kind of thing... haven't seen any of that around...

Seems like they're aiming for more of a soft-roader to me...

Sounds like I will be keeping the 120 thanks

Maybe it will be a case of a new model pushing up the value of the old one ? I'm looking forward to a bit of reverse depreciation (aka appreciation) if our fears are founded

Ass Like a Kluger!!! Ahhhhh geeez! Why did they do that?? Maybe they're trying to cost cut a little and get a few bits from the Kluger production line. Fingers crossed it doesn't end up looking like some kind of interbred mongrel!
