My V6 is fine too. Can't work out why it's a transmission issue if the V6 doesn't do it. Do they run different transmission firmware in the different engines? If so, can the V6 transmission firmware be installed on the D4D?

Different engine types need different shifting points for their tranny's to transfer the drive correctly to the wheels. All diesel engines vibrate more than their petrol equivalents, its just the way they are. If you don't like the vibration buy a V6 and get ready to use much more fuel.
I have the vibration in my 150 TD GXL auto too. Its on the drivers side now after the dealer did a pillar guard adjustment on the Passenger side but now I have it on RHS. What in fact did your dearler do to get rid of the vibration. Thanks
They can't fix the vibration its inherent to the model (unfortunately) only the rattles can be fixed (temporarily). My dealer has now given up and said they can't do any more with the dash rattle.
I have a rather annoying rattle on the right hand side and it appears to be in the dash. I found it was the bonnet rubbing so I tightened the rubber height adjust blocks on the leading edge of the bonnet. But the rattle returned after they fitted new head lights (filled with rain water). The rattle is most present at low revs and also on the highway with bumps. I have not as yet found it but for some reason the rattles in the 150 appear to come from a closer location. Double the distance from where you think it is and you will probably find it. Might be something to do with the way the noise travels in the chasis.
It still rattles and drives me nuts. If anyone knows the fix please let me know.
