    Hi Woody; yes my car will have a 2011 compliance plate. I think that it is a benefit as you will always have the extra year of youth. I wish that I could get a few extra years.
    Do you mean that your car has not arrived in Australia yet? Mine is in the country but I do not know how long it will take them to get it to me. Tomorrow would be OK!!! Not sure why it takes them so long to get the car from the docks into my garage. My dealer tells me that if they harass the trucking company it will take twice as long to get here. It is my birthday on the 22nd of this month so it will be a nice present from me to me.

      Yes mine is in the Country at a Toyota Storage Yard somewhere on the eastern seaboard (hopefuly not Rockhampton which will soon only be negotiable by submarine). I don't know where Toyota brings their cars in on the east coast.

      Whichever yard it arrived at it's got to get to Brisbane.

          Without a periscope the snorkel won't be much use as I won't be able to see where I am going and there's no sunroof to push the periscope up through.

          Unfortunately it's a terrible situation with an area as big as NSW underwater and more rain on the way.

            Lots of positive comments from me mate. I have owned about 30 cars in 20 years of driving and rate my Kakadu as the best alround car I have ever owned. After spending a couple of days in a grande 120 I can tell you the 150 is a leap ahead. I know only time will cement it's place with other well loved tojo's there is nothing to say it's not the best all round vehicle to roll out toyotas doors. Mine has spent a fair bit of time loaded with the five in my family a caravan then heaps of 4x4 ing it has so far never come close to getting stuck anywhere. Enjoy it mate the're an excellent car.

              I think you need to try a bit harder then :wink: In 2005 we picked our first new Prado, drove the 250kms home, got dressed to go to a wedding and thought,might just take it through a few hills on the way Yep dressed for a wedding and we got it bogged on the first day wasn't badly bogged and got out reasonably easily though.
              If you have half as much enjoyment from the 150 as i have had from the 120's you will be over the moon.

                Hi all,

                We to are waiting for our 150, should be delivered next week- been told dealer will have 18th, with delivery to us 20th. We have been waiting since early October!! Went a manual GXL, which caused a special order to be placed for it. They dont get any manuals so they dont just ship them!!

                Cant wait, have done quite a bit of traveling 4wding in Patrols, and enjoyed them, so cant wait for the Prado- Messed around for a weekend in a friends 120 (and not the rude kind of messing round :shock: ) and really liked it, so think the 150 will be gold- I too have had some buyers remorse so to speak, and being so long since we ordered hasn't helped, but now am very excited, and sure have made the correct decision. Have seen quite a few 150 with snorkels/bullbars etc and the shape has really grown on me, so 100% sure went the right way. Sure the 150 will prove to be just as capable as the 120, they will be different im sure, but both have there pluses.

                Went into ARB today to sort out the bullbar Snorkel duel batteries, so will get them slapped on ASAP.

                Lookign forward to seeing all these new 150s getting done up, and getting out there and dirty!

                  Ordered my 150 D4D Manual GXL today and it will be here in March. My present 2008 Manual 120 GXL is the best vehicle I've ever owned. If my wife wasn't so wonderful then the Prado would ... Oh and of course my kids. Right if my wife & kids weren't so... of course, the Grandkids. Right, if ... Anyway you all know what I mean. A brilliant vehicle with too many positives to fit in this post. So why am I getting a 150 some will ask. Basically because the 4 Hilux' before the 120 were fantastic and got me off the East Coast and into Central Australia which blew me away and gave me some of the best experiences of my life. Age, health, aches & pains resulted in the 120 Prado and now I have to go through that painful hiatus until the 150 arrives. The positive comments thread got me when returning to PP after a break. I reckon I'm privileged to live in a country where I can own a vehicle as good as this and know that I will never see a fraction of what I want to see of this land, even if I could make it to a 100 and still drive (I can hear the screams now, - I'm only fantasising). Seriously though I can't see how there can be any negatives unless we make them. I no longer read threads about how many ks were on the vehicle on delivery or the rear bumper had a handprint after the 1st service. This entire site is, and should be a positive comment. Look at what we have people. Sure, issues will always arise and it is important to let each other know how they were dealt with. But really, other than a few major lemons, we have the best vehicle going and we're still here to enjoy it. If Prado owners use them to drive to soccer or reverse up the Tanami Track, it's still a positive. The more Prado owners there are, the safer the roads will be and our children and grandchildren.
                  So for me, owning a Prado and looking forward to the next upgrade is one huge positive comment.
                  PS - why did I go for the 150 now? I was offered what I thought a great changeover at my 70,000 service last Friday, and I had to pay full price for that service after the $200 jobs.

                      Love driving the Kakadu. Love all of the technology.

                      I have the highway version, not the bush-bashing version (yeah, go on snigger away), and the KDSS keeps the body roll in check when I corner. I expected a heavy vehicle with a high centre of gravity to roll a lot more.

                      The Radar Cruise Control has spoilt me. I can let the Kakadu keep me a safe distance from the car in front. A bit of a trap when I drive the company Subaru Forester with cruise control set - have to be careful I don't run up somebody's rear end. LOL

                      In a word - addictive.
