  • Home made fride slide and storage

    Hi all

    Have been inspired by the guys doing 120 & 90 series fitouts so have started my own. It includes the following;

    1. Fridge slide for Engel 40l fridge
    2. Shelf for folding table and chairs

Have been working on it all day and will provide photos and a list of materials and measurements if requested.

Didn't know you can attach PDFs on PP. Might have to use a file sharing site but sometimes those sites deletes the file after a certain time if you are not a paid member of that site.

              Thanks Ryzz on its way

Just off to buy the carpet etc

would you all like a blow by blow re sizes, cuts and attachments for the unit. The diagram is a bit of a mudmap. I can also advise the measurements for cutting the holes to fit the false floor to make it a bit easier. (Obviously for the 150 series only)

                Part 1 False floor

The false floor I elected to fit runs along the line of the fold up seats. I dont have a need to enclose the sides at this time so I left it.

The floor is 12mm ply and to fit to the rea should be cut to the following dimensions

                1080mm x 935mm

Note: I had all my timber cut to length at Bunnings for free. Made the job so much easier

There are 4 cutouts to fold the rear tiedowns through.

I will add a series of photos showing the cutouts and their measurements.

The front 2 are 55mm in from the wheel side (to the corner adjacent the fold up seat) and 70mm from the inside of the rear plastic lip at the door (to the corner adjacent the fold up seat) I have made a cavity that is 35mm long and 5mm thick.

Hi all timber work finished now just for carpet, paint and securing to the vehicle......
                      Finished view front...

The cavity under the shelf is for a wanderer folding table with 4 seats that eventually can be a drawer. When travelling with the van a WeberQ sits on top of the shelf and when just day tripping a plastic tub with burners and cooking gear sits in the place of the weber Q. Tie downs will secure all after carpet.
Note I have fitted the facia so the slide is self contained so to speak.....

                      From the angle

                      Close up of front detail....

And now for carpet and paint.............
