LC3 v LC5 suspension comparison

Hello everyone.

I am hoping that you can offer me an answer that I don't seem able to get in the UK.

Here in the UK Prado dealer demonstrators are all LC5 models with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). Unfortunately LC5's are also more expensive than I can afford (as are LC4'S) and I am looking at buying a LC3 which has neither the AVS of the LC5 nor the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) of the LC4.

Apart from confirming that an LC3 has suspension my dealer is unable to offer much help regarding what difference I am going to notice between the LC5 which I have tried and an LC3 which I might buy.

So for roadgoing use what differences am I going to notice and will they destroy the vehicle compared to the LC5 which I liked so much?

Being an australian based forum, we generally don't know the intricacies of the european models such as the LC5, LC4 or LC3. I would assume in many cases that they are the same, however, it appears from what I have read previously that some of the things we have now appear on earlier models in the european market.

The specifics of the suspension types and how the ride is, as well as the various traction aids available on the LC5, LC4 and LC3 models would probably be beyond most of the australian experience (certainly beyond me)... However, its probably a case of waiting for someone knowledgeable enough with these models to find this post and add their comments.

As for requiring a move? Its probably in the best spot already.
