    Hi
I put a set of Bilsteins and King Springs (50mm lift) in before we went to the Cape. I fitted it all myself and can tell you that the front struts are the same and will fit straight in. The strut was about 10mm longer which it should be for a lift. The rear didn;t fit perfectly. The spring was correct but the top rubber bush on the shock was a bit different. I can't now remember the exact sizes but the hole in the body for the steel locator washer to fit in is larger than is on a 120. Solution was to use the standard steel locator washer but with the new rubber as the shaft on the new shock is thicker than the standard. Only prob was the orginal bush and washer is one peice so you have to wreck it to get the locator out and then it just bolts back together in the car.
I can say I love the set up I got. Car packed up and 3 weeks through the Cape over corrogations and everything we threw at it, just rode great.
    Cheers

I see its been a while since this thread has had activity but to keep admin happy hoping for a response from Derek or others.
I have a Prado VX 150 Series, Diesel, Auto, 2011 model. It came with 18 Inch rims as standard with Continental tyres. I looked into getting more offroad tyres to suit beach and bush, however the price and range for 18 inch was not very good. I went with 17 inch rims and 265/65R17 Bridgestone Dueler A/T.
Boggy beaches north and south of Perth make me nervous at times and due to the limited clearance in bug sand ruts i have had to max trax and dig out a number of times. The side step rails are a hindrance when getting bogged down. I am keen to know if a 2 inch lift will be the answer, in addition to putting the 18 inch original rims on with a different set of tyres? I got quoted verbally King Springs for $1850 fitted but dont know much else or the other components included. Any recommendations to get a good set-up would be appreciated.
