Hello all....
i have a 2016 model GXL, wondering if anyone has used TJM suspension( XGS 4000 ) If so what are your thoughts?

I know nothing about that Superior kit but it seems very cheap for a remote reservoir set up. For peace of mind give John Zordo a call and talk about options. Worth it even if you go with the Superior stuff at tge end of the day.

Don't forget the front sway bar spacers. Superior make them for the Prado too.

Hi all.

Just getting on the thread...wondering if anyone has the TJM setup and can comment?

Already had a chat to Zordo but given the deals on at TJM just wondering the better way to go between the usual Bilstein and Dobinson recommendation v TJM equivalent? I live in ACT so going to Zordo a but harder to arrange.

Also helpful would any recommendations for a suspension shops in ACT - then potentially going with Bilstein/Dobinson combo.

Which TJM setup? I had XGS Gold and it was not well matched front to rear. Also a strut started leaking and was replaced, then leaked again out of warranty so I went elsewhere.

Check part numbers:

X TJM XGS Gold Lift with Polyair bags - fitted pre delivery
Front struts 659GE188L
Front springs 770FR88I
Rear shock absorbers 650GE288L
Rear springs 770RR88I

Depends also what standard equipment you carry. I was a bit disappointed with the spacers used to adjust free height in the struts after I had a good look at it. The Billie circlips or Ironman collars is a much better arrangement.

I had TJM bullbar, shocks, springs installed on my 2016 GXL a month ago. Also had polyair bags fitted. I'm going back tomorrow for 1000km check. I am not experienced or knowledgeable on this stuff and while i got a few quotes and talked to different suppliers it was more about describing what i wanted to do with it than a technical comparison. So my TJM invoice doesn't even state exactly what I have had installed. But i will ask this week. Shockers are gold and springs yellow if that tells u anything! I have just been away for a week towing a 1600kg camper trailer with 240kg on the hitch. It all feels good. I am puzzled about airbags and was about to put up a query on that when i saw yr post. But i will deal with that separately. I'm in melb if u want a look.
