Hopefully all will be good, Prado goes in tomorrow for std height Kings to come out and be replaced by std height Lovells. Kings website states that springs may be shorter than std due to being heavier rate. Lovells state theirs will generally lift 10 - 20mm.
We'll see tomorrow.

12000 lb TJM Winch with steel cable

Rear
Third row Seats removed, Stocked 45L Engel, on slide
70L Fuel on board (Filled after suspension measured)

Suspension System

Rear: Bilstien Shocks, Long Travel from 80 series, King Springs 50mm Raised Standard
Front: Bilstien Shocks, middle circlip, King Springs custom 60mm Rasied Standard

Old Heights
Front 735mm
Rear 795mm

New
Front 815mm
Rear 850mm (840mm full Tanks)

Impressions after 1000 km of dirt tracks and country roads.

A lot of time was spent selecting this set up over others, many hours on the phone to get the spring rates correct for set up and very glad to have gone longer, softer coilovers on the front as it has a perfect attitude and soft travel compared to the Heavy Duty coils. Rear coils are also longer to match the original rake of the vehicle and have improve departure.

Washouts are where the set up shows true as it has lost the bottom out in the hole and rebound is remarkably more progressive than before with the lower spring rates. 80 series shocks also help with this as they are valued softer on rebound which suit an empty vehicle.

Will see how it is after another 1000 km off road over the weekend!

Thanks, images in the morning and as it continues to settle I will probably bump the coil seat up to the top circlip, settled height I will be aiming for 825 mm but to even out the front rear balance. It is truly amazing the difference between 40k old factory and the new billies!!

Well it's officially a wasted effort, Lovells also have not picked up the front end, exactly the same as the Kings.
Will be looking at the snake racing strut spacers next I think.
Definitely feeling I should have stuck with a matched kit from OME now.

Have ordered the 25mm snake racing spacer -claimed to raise front by 30 - 40mm which should level up nicely - I hope.
If not, not sure what I am going to do next

This is turning into the never ending story, spacers arrived today, instead of the 25mm I ordered (and they invoiced) I have been sent 35mm spacers (these apparently lift 40 - 50mm which will be too much) so will now be waiting again until the correct parts arrive. Convinced I must have upset someone's karma now, one drama after another, just want it to be over now.

Sent Snake an email on Saturday, new spacers and express post bag to return incorrect spacers arrived this afternoon, can't ask for better than that.
Just need to get them fitted now, hello google search I think

Sorry Matt,
Too much on and not enough time, but made a start today loctiting the studs into the spacers, only to find out that of the 3 threaded holes on the spacers for the studs, one of them (I suspect the one they screw a fitting into when they anodize) had stuffed thread on both spacers (could only get 3 threads max before they bound up).
So off to the auto store for a tap set to clean out the threads, so studs are in now.
Just need to get the time (and courage) to get into fitting them and that is not looking good any time soon, with the young bloke all over the place riding Enduro at the moment.
Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and pay someone to fit them and do the wheel alignment and be done with it.
Kev,

Well, I've also have the Lovells suspension with he ARB bar & Dual Batteries and I've just come back from our outback trip and noticed the suspension at teh front has sagged back to original levels when we bought the car.... Took it back today to see what the installers can do.... Did notice that Lovells kit can come with SPACERS for the KDSS suspension, so maybe there's a option for the front. If Lovells don't come to the party, I'll be changing brands either to OME or Dobison's coils..... OME from what I've seen on here have given the best lift in height at least.
cheers..... Rob (macca)

Pretty sure the spacers in the KDSS kits are for one side only, something to do with correcting the lean when fitting an aftermarket suspension.
Had mine at Coastal 4x4 yesterday to fit spacers, despite booking 2 weeks ago and then calling back and telling them that the wife couldn't drop it off until after 9 and had to have it back by 2, when she got there they already had 2 cars on the hoist that were expected to be there all day.
That said when I called Steve (the owner I think) he was most apologetic and said no one had passed onto him or the workshop and tried to get us sorted with a nearby business.
Long story short, the wife has to take it back next Friday and Steve has made sure that it is booked on the hoist and will be the first job done.
Not happy with the result, but happy that an owner has taken the time to apologies, accept responsibility and then make arrangements to get the job done.

Just be sure the front doesnt go too high and affect droop or it will be topping out a lot and may damage mounts.
Sadly nose down is a given with this type of setup.
