Hi Fido,
Do you think the issue is the lack of sidewall height which causes the side walls to bulge with lower pressures? Would a higher sidewall bulge less on lower pressures?2013 Kakadu, pearl white, Cooper ST MAXX 275 65 18 123Q tyres, Safari Snorkel, ARB UVP, diff breathers, UHF GME TX3345, Red Arc 2nd battery, BMW luggage hdp, tint, ARB bull bar, synthetic winch, OME 2" lift, LED Intensity spot lights, ARB side steps, Kaymar rear bumper with 2 JC, spare and LED pole ligh, ARB compressor, ARB front air locker, Toyota rear diff lock.

Am I correct in thinking that a et15 sits 15mm further away from the chassis than a et30?Last edited by Bawky; 16-05-2014, 08:39 AM.2013 Kakadu, pearl white, Cooper ST MAXX 275 65 18 123Q tyres, Safari Snorkel, ARB UVP, diff breathers, UHF GME TX3345, Red Arc 2nd battery, BMW luggage hdp, tint, ARB bull bar, synthetic winch, OME 2" lift, LED Intensity spot lights, ARB side steps, Kaymar rear bumper with 2 JC, spare and LED pole ligh, ARB compressor, ARB front air locker, Toyota rear diff lock.

Thanks amts.
I am thinking that sticking with the 18 inch rims might be the easier option.
1. If I wanted to have the same offset and have a 17 inch rim which is compatible without rubbing and fit over the brakes what would the choice be?
2. Are steel Toyota rims 17 x 7.5 ET25 and are they compatible?Last edited by Bawky; 18-05-2014, 07:10 PM.2013 Kakadu, pearl white, Cooper ST MAXX 275 65 18 123Q tyres, Safari Snorkel, ARB UVP, diff breathers, UHF GME TX3345, Red Arc 2nd battery, BMW luggage hdp, tint, ARB bull bar, synthetic winch, OME 2" lift, LED Intensity spot lights, ARB side steps, Kaymar rear bumper with 2 JC, spare and LED pole ligh, ARB compressor, ARB front air locker, Toyota rear diff lock.

Looks good and diameter is legal.
I'm surprised that the 818 mm diameter don't rub on the mudflap, if you turn the wheel. Mine (about 808) rub under light breaking when the wheel is turned to the right.

Hi Fido, thanks for your help with the tyre decision. It is appreciated. I was able to pick up 6 rims for $2,250 from a person that deals a little in them. I figure eventually I could sell them although it may take a while. I like the 2nd set as it allows for a road set and if we are happy with the ST Maxx all the time then we can use the worn ones around town and use new or the ones with plenty of tread for off road use. I have been told don't go on big trips with less than 50% tread. This allows us to run them down separately.
The Yoka's are great around town and actually not bad off road. We are going to some large sharp rocks, so the LT construction and tread depth should help (I hope).2013 Kakadu, pearl white, Cooper ST MAXX 275 65 18 123Q tyres, Safari Snorkel, ARB UVP, diff breathers, UHF GME TX3345, Red Arc 2nd battery, BMW luggage hdp, tint, ARB bull bar, synthetic winch, OME 2" lift, LED Intensity spot lights, ARB side steps, Kaymar rear bumper with 2 JC, spare and LED pole ligh, ARB compressor, ARB front air locker, Toyota rear diff lock.
