Has anyone found a 17x7.5 ET15 rim? The closest I've found is 17x7.5 ET20 or 17x8 ET10. The problem with wider rims is that for every 1/2 inch, you need to reduce the offset by 6 to maintain the same uca clearance.

Thanks guys. I have been running 265/70/17 for the past 4 years on my 120 (now sold) without any problems. The tyres I have used are as follows
BFG AT LT - excellent all rounder even in the mud. Very good wear 90k of mixed terrain and highway. Probably the best tyre ever.
MT MTZ - fantastic Offroad in the mud and clay. Took them off at 20k as they were getting too noisy on the road and couldn't get them balanced well on a set of speedy steels
Coopers ATR LT - they do everything well however not as good as the BFG AT on and Offroad. They were on the vehicle for 50k before I sold the car. I would expect another 30k.
The 150 is due for delivery next week and I'm considering the following (285's our out as I want to keep std 17 rims) in order of preference lowest to highest:
3. BFG AT LT 265/70/17 - guaranteed fit
2. BFG KM2 265/70/17 - guaranteed fit. Not sure about the noise and wear characteristics.
1. BFG AT LT 270/70/17 - clearance to UCA to be confirmed

I won't have the 2" king spring/bilstein lift done for a couple of months; do you know if the 275/70/17 will fit without the lift?

Hi Nathan, that I cant answer, however, the rubbing issue is more related to the control arm than the inner guards. I dont think the lift would effect the clearance from the control arm, and therfore should fit.sigpic2" King Springs, Ironman Foam Cell Shocks. 17x9 Dick Cepek wheels with 275/70/17 Maxxis Bighorn 762S. Just an update my icon uca's arrived as did my dif drop kit, front sway bar relocation plates front 3/4 inch coil spacers and ome rear 10mm trim packers for extra lift.
The prado is getting repaired at the mo as i hit 2 bloody cows at the same time the other week but when i get it back i will fit all the bits and let you know the results.
Also when i drove with the 285 atz's (833 OD) i didnt notice any power loss even on the sand, felt like it actually went better

I can't wait to see what it all looks like mate. Those ICON UCAs look like a beautiful piece of kit. You should get some good travel out of that setup. Would look good flexed up on 33s.
I note superior engineering are now producing an UCA with a spherical ball joint and a grease nipple:

Definitely a lot more clearance than the stock arm. Will be interesting to see if 33s fit on stock rims with those arms fitted.
