Are you talking US dollars or Panamanian dollars? Its a bit hard to understand what those numbers mean in Aussie dollars.

Just be mindful that there is a BIG difference in price for LT vs regular tyres in the Bridgestone range. Up until this month Bridgestone only made the 265/70/17 in passenger car construct. According to another thread here they now make it in LT version which is a great step forward even if they cost a fair bit more: $230+ for LT vs <$200 for Pass Car Construct regardless of country.

I'm happy with the Cooper AT3's and the brother in law is happy with the 697's. I see you're in Adelaide - why not pop into Costco as they have some good deals on the 697 LT's from time to time.

Bridgestone D697

For 90% road?

The D697 is quite aggressive and are using about 1.5L/100kms more than the Grandtreks in my V6 150.

Road noise with D697 is noticeably more than Grandtreks.

Surely the best 90% road tyre is not a D697?

The D697 and BDG AT are still very unusual recommendations for 90% road, but I just got some pricing ... best price for BFG AT was about $360 per tyre and the D697 was about $259 per tyre with a $100 Caltex cash card .. so about $234 per tyre ... for 265/65R17.

Might be great, except that the 265/70 is illegal in some states in Australia because it increases the diameter by more than 15mm. Driving with illegal mods is risky.

What country and state is that? How is that legal both with size and speed rating?
