  • Toyo AT2 Open Country

Looking at changing to AT2s on my 150 series. Any comments on them? 90% on road but want the option to go on tracks and trails. Tow a 2.5 tonne caravan also (not off road). Thanks.

I've got them on my 120, I like them, quiet and grippy on the road, plenty of grip off road - have surprised a few of the mud terrain crew, seem to be wearing well after 16k so far

There is a full thread on these tyres with last post in Dec 15. Also read thread on Nitto Terra Grapplers which I started and after comments by PP members, was convinced to try the Toyo's. This will give you a lot of background. They are a fantastic tyre and if you look around, you can get a great price as well. Great on and off road. Come in LT. Been better in wet this time of year than the original OEM Grandtreks. No regrets. $150 less per tyre than BFG's.

Have had mine on the vehicle for about 8000 km. Very happy with them.

Cost depends on size, I went for 265/70 and it was 100 more per tyre than oem on '16 gxl.

I've had mine on for over 20,000kms, still look new! Not alot of offroad, just beach stuff. Went well on the beach. Slightly noisy for an AT, but I think thats because they have such wide and deep tread for an all terrain. Good tyre! Good Price

Thanks guys. Sound good. Why would you go 70 profile?

I have had them on for 35000km and they are not even 1/3 worn. Good on the beach and no problem on the tracks, actually surprisingly good. Little bit harsher ride than the original tyres but they are LT construction
