Re: Steel Rims for 150 GX
So the way I see it, I cannot under track vehicle, Toyota only "recommend" using the same wheels and offset, therefore it is up to the ADR and State rules. If the 120 steel rims I have are 5mm less offset than 150 wheels then that would be undertracking if I was replacing a 7.5 inch rim with a 7.5 inch rim, but I am replacing a 6.5 inch rim with a 7.5 inch rim which is 5mm less offset. Therefore the offset is reduced by 5mm but the new rims are increased width by 1 inch or 25mm, i.e. 12.5mm each side, so I would be increasing the track by 7.5 mm all round not reducing the track. I understand it is legal to over track a wheel base by up to 15mm?
Does that all sound correct?
