  • Nov 2021 150 VX Wheel Sizes

    Hello there,
I'm looking at upgrading to a 2021 150 VX and have seen that the factory fitted wheels are 19".
Does anyone know if these will take 17" rims as I recently bought a set of LT265/70R17 BFG's for my 2009 150 and was thinking of keeping them for offroading.
Apologies if this is open somewhere else, had a look and couldnt see a definite answer,
    Thanks

The factory (and aftermarket) 17" rims bolt straight on. There's no difference in brakes or anything else that might interfere.

According to the sticky post on wheel and tyre sizes under general discussion, you'd need factory 17" rims of a GXL, as the GX has narrower rims with a different offset. That post hasn't been updated yet for 19" rims,, but I'm fairly sure that they're the same width and offset.

        Series
        • GX 17x6.5" ET15
        • GXL 17x7.5" ET25
        • VX+ 18x7.5" ET25

Look at the tyre placard on the car, it has all the information you need.

GX has had the same sized wheels as the GXL since at least 2015. The information re. GX wheels above in the database is well outdated.

Apologies for the late reply, been on holiday, got the car and placard inside driver door does in fact say 17"and confirmed this with Toyota mechanics as well so all is good.
Just need a decent set of rims now...

Did you find some decent rims to replace the 19"?

I'm currently looking to change out the 19" on our VX having blown out a factory Dunlop, will be cheaper to get new rims and a set of BF Goodrich AT's

I would like to know as well which rims you ended up with. I'm looking at replacement rims also.

Check out 4x4 wreckers. I got a good gxl 17" wheel and excellent tyre for $200 at the big 4x4 wreckers in Newcastle.
