I would say, put it off a bit longer and save up more coin, get the better quality light over the cheap chinese Ironman ones, when ever it come to lighting or recovery/safety gear, always buy the quality brands, your life may depend on it one day.97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

I have looked in to Roo Lites, and the 220xp seems like very good value for money, especially when you can get them new on fleabay for $238 (about 70 cheaper than the auto shop). I have read fairly good reviews about them. All comes down to what you want to spend really...Diesel Prado with various things...

I have an ARB bar on my rig, and the welding is beautiful, I dont think anyone could do a better job by hand. I have previously had TJM bars, although they are not a strong as the ARB bar, they are still good quality.
Another thing to remember is that ARB and TJM are Australian made, so it is keeping Australians in work, if we keep buying cheap crap from over seas (ie china, India) we will all be out of a job soon.97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

You sure Croozaa? How about this thread? Rusted straight out of the box, problems with welds and dents, and AJ is not the only one to note these issues.

You should probably do some research on this too. Bullbar manufacture is being pushed overseas to save costs. TJM are doing it and ARB will eventually do it too because they are on the stock market, and eventually the desire to increase company worth and stock worth will get the better of them. They also charge excessive prices on a lot of things, because they realise they have a captive market. The very car you drive in is "cheap crap from overseas", by the way...
The Prado may be made OS, but it is not made in China, Like the Ironman stuff.
Now lets get back to the original topic.97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

let's get back on track... i cant afford these lights either and i am happy enough with my "cheapies". if what you are buying is better than what you have now shouldnt you be happy. we all want to have the best in life be it cars, accessories, houses, tvs etc etc. all comes back to what you can afford and if the thing you are buying is better than what you already have now, cheers--> Macarthur District 4WD Club Member <--

I've got them (I think it's them, they're ironman and about 175). Average really. Better than nothing don't get me wrong but don't shine up that great. Also water gets in them. They still work but for about 3 months I had one light about 1/4 full of water until it eventually evaporated<Rob> '12 Prado GX - https://www.pradopoint.com.au/forum/general/my-rig-build-up/32702-i-m-back-with-a-2012-150-gx-toorak-tractor

I had a Land Rover Defender TDI that I wanted to add some spots to. I had a look at Warn, IPF, Hella and some more well known brands, but I could not believe the prices. What I did on the end of the day, I had a look at cheap spotlights that had a lense that could maybe do the job if I put better high quality globes in. So I bought the cheap spots, ordered globes on ebay (or it was bid or buy, cant remember) and on the end of the day I had better spotlights (light wise) than my friends expensive Warn spotlights.
It's nearly 3 years now on the Defender and the new owner contacted me to find out what I did to get it to work so well. Because he noticed it was a cheap brand, but giving a lot of light and far.
I'm one of those handyman's that will first try and build my own, and if it doesn't work I will go and buy it. You'll be surprised with some skills, tools, time and patience what you can achieve.
