  • Leather seat covers..

    Hi,

Just been cruizin around and found a site called proseat.com.au. They sell replacement seat coverings which are "leather". Wondering if anyone had had any experience with this company or better still has a set of these.

Apparently you remove the standard cloth and replace it with a leather one. For the front and rear they are charging $595. excludes the third row..which is another $200 if you want those too. Comes with some extra's too....door trims and console cover...

I've seen their work, it's basically a DIY seat retrim, I don't know how the cost compares to having a retrim done by a professional motortrimmer, but they do look the goods, couldn't fault the workmanship on the ones I saw.

      Hi Taresk,

Thanks you for your reply. It's good to hear from someone who has actually seen the product.

Looks just like a "factory" leather trimmed seat to me from the web site, but as we all know sometimes what you see isn't always what you get. I have never seen, and didn't realize that the seat trims could be removed without some sort of stitching, or upholstery modifications.

I will give the company a call in the next few days and have a chat to them about it. The seats in my GLX are a little stained and grotty (YUK!)from the previous owner, even after a few hours of cleaning with interior cleaner, so it is not to much of an issue to see them make way for some nice leather jobies.

Will Keep everyone posted on the outcome.

      Cheers
      Brett.

P.s I will get a few quotes from some local re-upholstery places too for interest.

Saw this thread while looking for similar in the 120 Series forum.

I have dealt with Proseat today and posted about it here:

Make sure you check if the kits is "Reborn Leather" or "Itallian Leather". He does both and the reborn leather is a cheaper option but not of the higher quality of italian leather.
