Petrol fuel tank same as Diesel one?

Hi, I have a diesel 90 but am doing an engine swap to petrol and am currently wondering what to do about the fuel pump, ideally I just want to put an in-tank pump like a standard petrol but even though I could cobble 1 into the tank I have no simple way of getting the wires inside the tank to power the pump, my question is, if I get the whole fuel pump bracket with the pipes coming out the top etc. off the top of a petrol tank, will it be the right length and everything to just bolt it into the diesel tank and uprate the fuel pump as needs, i'm assuming the wires for the fuel pump go through the removable lid part and are not fixed to the main body of the tank.

Personally, I would just put a couple of in line pumps in, why a couple, one for each tank, so when you switch tanks one pump comes on and the other one turns off, so that it works just like factory.

Diesel tanks don't have baffles inside them....
The complete sender bracket from a petrol version will fit
Iv had a petrol driven hilux before with a diesel tank and had no problems

Iv just finished a diesel conversion to my 90!
What petrol motor you putting in?
