  • Air on Board Recovery Tow Point Kit

    Hello,

I'm brand new to the site and have just bought a Mighty 90 Series.

Does anyone have the Air on Board Recovery Tow Point kit fitted to their car?

    Cheers.

    Fellow newby here.

    Do you mean these?

I don't have them but in researching recovery points had also come across them, so am curious to hear of experiences.

FWIW - guidance I keep reading is to consult the owner's manual to see if any factory installed hooks are only for tying down during transport; or are they for towing/recovery. According to the manual with my TX, the hooks at the front and rear (one at each end) are for towing/recovery. Good to know. I would still like to have two at each end though.

Invest in an equalising strap for recovery. While they are rated at 3250kg you can easily exceed that when properly bogged and snatching out. A much better way of connecting anyhow cause you are not concentrating all load on one half of the chassis rail. I’ve got these on mine and they’re good. Jim
