This sounds strange but the fuel return banjo on the top of the fuel pump has a small spring inside, stretch this spring so its about 5-6mm longer and put it all back together.
The spring is small like a biro spring.
Strange as it may seem this little valve causes a resonance/hum that appears to come from the passenger side footwell (RHD models).
Takes about 10 mins and makes a huge difference.

Can you pick which direction it is coming from.
The only humming I have had in mine is from the roof rack Bar.
The faster you go the louder it gets.
It has a rubber strip to insert in the top of the bar for when the rack is not there.
The sound it can make is really quite loud with speed.
It makes a hum similar to the noise when you blow across the top of a stubby beer bottle.
Hope you find it soon rattles and noises drive me crazy to.

Hi guys, we had a strange noise in our wagon so did some research and stretched the spring in the fuel return line and presto noise gone.

          Hi, I've a similar issue .... hum/vibration starts around 110kmph and disappears at 120kmph.
          Unbalanced shaft?
