Diff oil Change and gearbox oil change

Hey, just about to do oil changes on the prado, it's a 3.4 auto. Going to do the diffs and maybe gearbox oils and filter?

The diffs are they just a case of drain from plug hole and refill and replace rubber rings? Also what oil do people use?

For gearbox oil change, what's the method and where is the filter? Also what oil to replace with?

before you drain the diffs make sure the filler plugs are loose. You can sometimes drain them but cant get the filler plugs out to refill them. Rubber rings ???? the gearbox has a drain plug ,the filter is inside the box. You will need to take the bottom off to get to it.

Very true about the diffs ! Alway undo the refill plug first !
Gearbox have a stainless steel filter in them an can be cleaned so no need for a new one dex3 for the auto
It's a good idea to flush the box with new fluid , google search how to do that
Remember you need LSD oil for the rear diff if you don't youl blow it up !
