When I bought my 90 series it came without a remote I have read up on it and it did come factory with keyless entry. I have been searching high and low for an after market key, surround and internals and havent had anyluck at all anyone else had this problem please help. Ta Mass

Your best bet is to install a complete after market system that will basically actuate the driver's door central locking switch. You would be up for big money to get a new transmitter to work with your existing receiver.
Out of interest, how do you know your Prado is fitted with remote central locking? My mate has a snowy also and I saw the specs for the snowy the keyless entry was a big part of the mods for the model. Wonder how far i have to go as in replacing the after market system.

The sinple answer is not far, the problem is the expense. If the the Snowy cam ewith factory central locking the you are as close as your nearext toyota dealer to getting your remote, it won't be cheap though. A after market remote system will be about 50$ with two remotes from somewhere like ebay and install youself. If it is already to go and and factory fitted, give toyota a try but be a ware of the cost, Good luck IanComment

yes the snowy definatley came out with remote - my remote packed in a couple of years ago didnt bother fixing allways used key to lockComment
