  • 2000 model prado radio aux input?

Gday all I have a 2000 grande, with factory stereo in it with factory stacker under the seat. I want to use my MP3 but it doesn't seem to have a jack for it. Top of range vehicle and I cant connect to it. Is there any connection points behind etc the radio I could use? Its great sound and don't particularly want to change it.
    Thanks Steve

Probably pre dates the neeed for aux input. I would think if there is one it would be selectable from front panel or menu. If not i suspect there isnt

I highly doubt there is. Sure it was top of the range but you have to remember that it was in the year 2000.

What model stereo is it, as some do have an aux jack at the back of them.

There's isn't one on it too old
I 2001 have a 1400$ JVC deck an that dosnt even play mp3
Anyway there are adapters you can buy off eBay called CD changer adapter ... You need the specific one but they bassicly replicate the cd changer
There's 2 types one that apple products plug into or the other type with headphone jacks and some have sd card inserts

Thanks guys, Ian yeah I sort of thought that too. Ratsack I didn't think it would although I had a 97 base model magna that had input "weird". Thought it was worth asking. Crooza it has the standard grande jukebox, tape player, radio and single cd coupled to a stacker under the seat. Not sure on model but I will try and fin my owners manual for model. Scott thanks I might check out the adaptors.

Ah, mine s different, it has the tape player, radio, with the cd stacker, and has the aux jack in the back of it.

In the old days we used to use the electronic tape adapters. These days you just go and buy an FM transmitter. Common item for ipods and the like, and work fine inside the car. I've used a friends one in my car before and it sounded good.

Thanks Crooza and Glen I have bought an electronic thingy off fleabay that supposably you tune in to certain Frequency/station, plug into cig socket and then into Mp3/Ipod. When it arrives I will see how it goes as I don't really want to change the stereo.

                  Thanks all
