  • Keyless Entry 97 GXL

Hey guys and gals just a quick question

When i bought my prado i didn't get any keyless entry buttons so my question is....

Am i able to buy one of those $50 units (to suit a Toyota) and somehow code it to the vehicle (My mate runs a key/shoe repairing shop and sells them) or should i fit a keyless entry kit which i got very cheap????

I don't want to waste my time and money on fitting this kit if i don't have to. Plus i have heard sometimes when you don't have the original keyless entry button very hard to code the new one.

    Cheers in advance

You'll have to make sure it has a keyless module fitted before buying the fob only, otherwise you will only be wasting your money. I think you would be better off buying a aftermarket kit from Repco or the like's and fitting that.
96 3.4 GXL, 2" lift, Poly airs in rear, 32" BFG muddies, Lightforce 170's HID's, TJM rack, Awning, Twine on board shower, GME uhf, Dual batteries & monitor, Storage system, ARB fridge, LED rear lighting, Safari snorkel, Brown Davis bash plate, Ironman winch bar, Runva 11xp winch, Roadsafe recovery points, ARB compressor, Tyre dog monitor, AJ's sliders, Hema hn6. The to do list is getting shorter.
