  • Ecu fuse blows, not on sub tank!

My son bought a 95 series Prado 3.4 litre. I have just joined Pradopoint in order to seek out expertise.

We replaced the clutch recently. All went well untill he tried to start it. Starter motor bearings shot. Replaced starter motor.

Then ecu fuse and a mysterious fuse labelled "radio 2" blew as soon as ignition turned on. After much work checking wiring my son found that when the sub tank was on the car started. He did not replace "radio 2" fuse and has not found anything that does not operate.

Disconected main fuel pump, ecu fuse still blows on main tank setting.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?
