So my 99 RV6 Prado seems to be idling too high. When I start it up and it warms up it sits at 1500rpm then when it's all warmed up the revs won't go down at all. In fact it rises a little.
When I start the engine without the MAF connected the revs sits just above 1100rpm and then as soon as I connect the MAF back up the revs jump back up to 1500-1600rpm. Sometimes it can be higher.
It is also being very petrol hungry lately.
It also runs on gas and this stopped working all of a sudden a few weeks ago, could this play a part? Or is it likely tha MAF just needs replacing? Thanks for any help and suggestions
