Can anyone tell me if the main fuel tank from a 120 (the one inside the chassis rail on the passenger side) will fit under a lwb 90? The UK 90's only come with the main rear tank, and I want to fit a sub-tank.

No it will not fit, if you want extra fuel storage, just buy an aftermarket tank, there are many makes out there specifically for the 90 series, I think you can get them up to 150lts.97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

Wanna buy my aux tank? Maybe I can then justify a custom one to suit my bodylift!!
Oh wait, you have a bodylift too.. perhaps you should pay for a custom one. The stock ones hang quite low.glen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90

Aftermarket single tank will be the easiest to do, there is no need to run extra fuel lines, electrics, fuel gauge ect..Originally posted by fridayman View PostWhat benefit would you get from a custom tank over your current setup with auxiliary tank? I will probably look at stock setups too because that might be the most straight forward when it comes to plumbing it in.

4WD Systems in Adelaide have a long range tank for the 90 series which is 155 lt's. So that takes the total capacity to almost 225 lt's

Thats right, it is alot easier to put in a larger tank, than to put in a sub tank and then have to worry about all the fuel lines and electrical work involved to fit it in. As the Euro models only have the one tank, and if I lived over there, that is what I would be doing.Originally posted by letsgoplaces View Post4WD Systems in Adelaide have a long range tank for the 90 series which is 155 lt's. Well I have a bodylift, and unlike the main tank, the aux tank is connected to the chassis, so it's still in the same (lower) position, and there's a large amount of space above it. So my aim in a custom tank would be to make use of the space above, and have it about 2" higher underneath, tucked up within the chassis rails, rather than hanging down with the cross members. There's much more to this plan; such as lifting the engine, transmission and modifing the cross members - but whether I actually do this or not is another question (my current setup is going well enough)Originally posted by fridayman View PostWhat benefit would you get from a custom tank over your current setup with auxiliary tank? I'd have to agree with croozza though, for most people with a single tank, it'd be much less work to just increase the main tank's size.glen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90
