I was quoted $1100 for timing belt kit, thermostat and water pump. Will be abit more as i added a few other small jobs i wanted done.
I could of done it my self, but seeing as its the wife's daily drive i wanted it back quick. I would of taken all weekend and more to do it myself. Plus i think there is a few tools i dont have to do it.
Well it is staying over night as the day ran out. Its all but done. just all the little fiddly things and checks to go. No surprises, parts where getting on but still within serviceable limits.Mint 1999 GXL Prado - Work in progress

Massive difference eh? I fitted up my KORR XDS500 the other day and am now contemplating upgrading my HID spots or just ditching them all together as currently, I can barely tell if they're on or not.

Wrapped some heat shield around the second battery under the bonnet.
Changed the spark plugs, found out that whoever changed them last time used the wrong gap size plug... useless dealers...

How does that work? What spacer are you using? Spring pad or strut? I bet they were a bitch to put back in haha.
Last night I pulled out my old and flogged sway bar link bushes and put in some new shiny red ones. Instant difference this morning when my daughter (L Plater) didn't show daylight under the inner rear wheel going around a roundabout near our house.
Me personally? Didn't notice a difference haha just piece of mind.
Ordered new pads and rotors all around. $750 for slotted DBA fronts, standard DBA rears and Bendix 4x4 pads all around. Then new struts. Waiting for a new 5 tonne press to arrive and I'm going to do the front control arm bushes.
Hope I don't lose too much ride comfort. It's all ready becoming a bit too stiff for road use.
