Does anyone know how to disable the open door chime without stopping the interior lights from coming on when the door is open? Currently I have removed the bolt on the drivers door switch, but this is just a temporary fix and means the lights dont come on.

I have a 1999 RV and it has no noise on the doors at all?
Find the speaker and pull the cord out?

Its just the drivers door when the key is in the ignition. Being a jap import as most prados in NZ are the are a bit different. Ill have to have a better look under the dash.Comment

Its tied into the BCM... you cant disable the ign switch either as that's part of the immobilizer circuit
Probly best to find the chime module and disconect that
Id say either it will be insude the dash fuse box, on the speedo cluster ora seperate unit hanging under the dash
Id put money on its inside the fuse box. ... easy to pull apart and disconect.Comment
