  • Intercooler info.....please

    Hi.
I own a Colorado 3.0Lt TD which unlike the Prado is not fitted with an intercooler as std.
I was wondering if any of you can send me photos of the intercooler set-up in the Prado e.g. Location, pipe routes, intercooler dimensions and pipe diameters. Any advice on installation and set-up will be great.

    Thanks
    Bosvark

    Hi!

I would recommend you to download the Toyota EPC.

There is a guy on the Norwegian LC forum who has fitted a D-4D intercooler on a 3,0td. Maybe you'll get some ideas by looking at the pics http://nlck.no/forum/viewtopic.php?t=473

          Hi,KZJ90
Thanks for the photo and the dimensions.
How much space is there between the intercooler and the bonet? Was just wondering about the air flow.
Do you think a LC120 intercooler will fit straight on?
Will start snooping around for bits...

          Regards

            Hi there Bosvark,

Did you manage to get hold of the information you needed for the intercooler setup for your rig?
Also, in your travels, did you find anyone who supplied intercooler upgrades for the Colorado/Prado?
I ask, as I'm on a bit of a mission of late, to find a suitable upgrade for the little intercooler in my Prado, the joys of the internet allow me to spread the net a tad wider, so any info you may have would be greatly appreciated.

            Cheers,
            Paul.

              Hi MarvinPrado95

I haven't find any thing yet, here in the UK any thing not Land Rover is difficult to find/get hold off.

I spoke to a company, Brunel Performance, they said they can build one to any spec, which sound good but as all ways there's a price to it as well.

I am looking to find an intercooler from a d4d; pajero/shogun, patrol or nissan narvada p-up.

There is about 7 cm. And you can see 120-series intercooler fits, like Soll told: http://nlck.no/forum/viewtopic.php?t=473
I have now 11 cm high water-intercooler under my hood without problems, but I have 5 cm bodylift.
