I have noticed there is quite a considerable amount of less posts on the 90 series as to the 120 series . Is that because the 90 series is um .... Maybe I should stop , should not open a can of worms for the 120 series owners to start on this thread .
I am glad I am not even considering trading for a later model .

                  Re: FEWER POSTS

I've just sold our 8 year old 90 GXL (bought new), and bought a 2 year old 120 series. Certainly been impressed with the big improvement in ride, quiet running, engine power, interior comfort... the list goes on! Much as I loved the old 90 series, it was showing it's age, and our 2002 model was one of the newest ones still around!

I guess the 90 series was designed in about 1994/5, whereas the 120 series was designed in 2002. Surprising difference in car technology in those 7 years.

And as the OP said, 90 series are at least 8 years old, so their numbers are steadily decreasing (as are the 120 series, now the 150 is out)...

                  Cheers,

                  Rob.

                      Re: FEWER POSTS

                      Gotta love the 90 series.

But I think the reason for more chat in the 120 section is due to the fact that they are newer (lets be honest... most people do prefer new cars) and there are more aftermarket items available for the 120.

Having said that though, I intend to drive mine until it dies!

Could be that the forum was not around when the 90 first came out.
I joined to research the 120 and traded a 90, now just a never ending series of modifications

                            Re: FEWER POSTS

This is my first Toyota a 90 series Rv at $17000 to buy into a robust fun truck that I don't mind getting the odd dent or ding.

New enough to look good, cheap enough to play harder

I can now justify getting a lots of extras before it gets too expensive

                            P.S.

Oh! I fot to mention my last 4wd was a series 3 landrover, so my 90 is pure luxury

Can you give me some examples here. I reckon the aftermarket caters at least as well if not better for the 90 series as it does for the 120 series.
