Bedankt Bors! I have enjoyed your action photos even though some are not of Prados . I was born in Beverwyk so not so far away from Terschelling as it turns out.

I checked my grille's mounting this afternoon and it appears to be held on much the same way. I have hook like posts on each headlight that the grill clips on to, then there is a central mount on a metal bracket near the bonnet catch. I think there might also be a screw at the bottom of the grille but not sure. I can post some pics if you want clarification.

I have driven in Beverwijk there last Sunday, on a small terrein between the sluice and the hoogovens.
I live nearby, in Haarlem. Small world we live in...

Came with the car when I bought it a few weeks ago

Not overly impressed with the way they are attached as they do not mount to the chasis, but to the body where the side steps used to attach.
Used once with high lift jack to test and they do move a little, so they will not be a jacking point

Might get some customising done to make brackets to attatch to the chasis at some point.

Actually he's probably using the tongue as a cooling fin, like putting a wet towel over a fan. Your explanation is cuter though

Nice rig. I'm guessing it's a diesel? Guessing due to the snorkel location
Oh yeah, nice flower seat covers

I convinced her we need to get the mud tyres, but she likes them too!

                                Hahahaha.
The property owner did all of that when she was clearing the house block which wasn't too far from where we were camped.

Made it easy for everyone who was there.
