Actually, I have gone from 86kg to 105kg in the last 6 months, the seats get better all the time as my fat rear slowly moulds the highly stressed material and components.
105kg!? Remind me not to pick a fight with you

I wish I was 3/4s of that haha

I'm very happy for those who find the Prado's seats comfortable. Having driven a few vehicles in my life though, these still rate as the most uncomfortable by a long shot.

Has anyone fitted seats from other vehicles to their Prado's? Might be a cheaper option than expensive aftermarket options...

I've seen Impreza Turbo seats fitted, they didn't need much work to make them fit, just a piece of 2" box section.

Unfortunately, it is not just a case of fitting different seats with home made box section, you need to have them professionally fitted and engineered then modification plates fitted.
As I have said before, if you find your seats uncomfortable, then try adjusting the seat into a different position, or the other thing you could do is go to an upholsterer and get the seat padding redone as the padding would be worn.

I didn't realise that your vehicle testing was that onerous.
As long as the seat is fixed securely here it should pass.
Is that the same for all states?
