Before going to Tasmania, I decided to upgrade my lights in the front of the bullbar with 4 of small oval globes + 35W HID 6000K. The oval globes I bought from Supercheap Auto for $39/pair. HID kit just order on Ebay from Hong Kong.
It took me almost 1.5h to modify and install one pair. I had to cut, round some small parts of the bull bar to get them fit together. But then the result was nice.
Actually, those small HID lights worked like a champ. Only 4 of them are far better than my original low/high beam. The light was very bright on the road and covered almost 180o viewing in the front. So I could see very well to avoid animals crossing the roads when I drove through forest areas.
Here is 1 pair of oval globes on one side.
Here is how the front looks like after done the job.
One orange illuminated switch was installed on the right of dashboard, just under the controller of electric mirrors. Power was provided from my 2nd battery, just in case to keep my main battery working well. It is ok if I turn on this setup + all LED lights around the car + low/high beam+ DVD 6.1" + 12.3" LCD + 4 amplifiers (for 4 x 12" subs + speakers). However, the 2nd battery only stays at 11.7V with this whole things turned on. May be I have to take a look into the power source.
Here is how it is in the night
