  • ironman suspension with 10mm trim packer

    greetings guys!

i have the ironman suspension for about 6 months now on my v6 prado90 and would like to ask if anyone has added the 10mm trim packer on the front suspension. this i understand will lift the front by increasing preload. i have no winch nor steel bumper on it, i just want to get the level out the vehicle a bit. right now front measures a 30and 3/4 inches, the rear is almost 32inches. ( measured from fender lip to lowest part of the wheels.

this will lift the front approx 3/4 to an inch which is just right but will it ride significantly firmer or be bad for the cv joints?

    thanks

What's this inches you speak of? Didn't we change to metric in the 1960's?
Sorry, that was before I was born.
When I had ironman suspension I had the spacer installed, but I also have a steel bar and dual batteries. Sat just right.
    Can't we just keep travelling?

Depends on the single of the cvs now, straighter the better
You could look at strut spacers ? They go on top of the strut assembly then it wouldn't affect the ride

Go the strut top spacers over the coil spacers.
The coil spacers can push the shock too far towards its max extended length & you don't want it to top out constantly, or it will break and get expensive.

          Regards, Jason.
