When installing new springs/shocks today we noticed one lower control arm bush was not in the greatest of condition (left had side, rear bush) - Serviceable but will need to be replaced in the not too distant future.
Was wondering what experience people have had with replacing with a complete arm rather than purchasing bushes and having the old ones removed and new ones pressed in?
I don't have access to presses etc so would have to pay to have them done. By the time I pay for bushes and then to have the old ones removed and new ones pressed in....am I likely to be getting close to the cost of a new pre-fitted arm? I read the bushes can be a bit of a bugger to remove and press in properly so got me wondering.....
Also, is it common to have to replace the cams and bolts?....
Just getting some ideas together so I can prepare for doing it down the track.
Cheers,
Bart.
