    Re: Climbing Uluru/Ayers Rock

I have a staff members husband who works at the airport there and he says he has not heard of a age limit, Also if it is too hot, windy or wet they shut it down for climbing.

    Cheers

I didn't see anything about a minimum age. My 5yo did it, leading the way most of the time and telling us to hurry up! We did tie him to his mum with a rope so he couldn't get too far away!

Great Photo HGmonaro, you have answered my next question for me

I have heard from a few people that they have removed the chain to aid climbers, i guess not!!

I'm looking forward to doing the climb again.

that photo was in 2007, but I haven't heard that. It does only go some of the way, maybe they thought it went all the way to the top. Hopefully someone who's been more recently can chime in.

Ditto HG, That is a great photo. Put it in a frame and its straight to the pool room..

(note to self, take photo like that)

Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.
