    Hi McBain

The tracks we did were around the Jimna area in the state forests, there are hundreds of kilometers of tracks with everything from round trip easy to low range.

We recorded the average speeds each day in a small gorup of 4 cars and these averaged around 25-30kms per hour of moving speed plus stops. Therefore we could spend weeks exploring, if anybody is interested I'm happy to organise some weekends in the bush up there, just let me know.

    Regards, Richo.

          Hi Folks

Just put my 2 cents in, the 150 lead the way with 28 PSI no trouble and even lent hints for success. As you can see the track was hard but that red rainforest clay is dead set slippery.

Later in the weekend we went across the top of the range in grazing country and at the top of the mountains the ground was a lot sloppier in the black soil. Different driving and a bit more care required when driving along off camber ridge lines with 150 mt drops either side

It doesn't get much better than this, great driving, great friends and great country.

          Regards, Richo.

And here's my effort all handled via the iPhone, including post-production video splicing, just to see what the iPhone is capable of.

I just noticed that embedded videos are not visible on the iPhone, so for iPhone users, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6KV9...=youtu.be&hd=1

Yep, iPhone 4. I used the free version of an app called "Splice", which I just installed for this video. Whilst it crashed a couple of times, it saved my work so I recovered quickly. The instructions recommended restarting the iPhone before using it. After the restart it worked well and was surprisingly functional, albeit a little slow. I could have done more fancy video editing if I wasn't so impatient .

                    Hi Folks

That was just a small sample of the middle section of the planned GTG, we have selected 3 routes, up the main road, up the easy road and the roads on the posts for the more adventureous.

Queensland, beautiful one day, perfect the next.

This section is a contender for one of the transit days... but still, there are plenty of other tracks to explore.
