    • Now I may have overlooked it on the gtg website, or perhaps it's still a secret... Where exactly in the Bendleby Ranges do we meet up? Do you have a GPS location, but I'll settle for an address . Inquiring minds want to know.

      • The Bendleby Ranges is fully contained within private property, the only access is through the homestead / office / campground.

all the info and maps are here http://www.bendlebyranges.com.au/

Must check the website and get the link added if it is not already.

        Cheers Andrew

These are the airstrip coordinates which is very close to the check-in bay anyway.

            • Well the QueensBirthday long weekend was full of excitement and Dissapointment,After getting away at around 7.40 Saturday morning to go and do the first BendelbyRangers recognizance weekend. All went well Michael,Steve aka Chris?.And my self and my Girls we set off for a great weekend.Just after Clare in the mid north we met up with Dave aka Woolie.Another Hour later we were at Bendelby and setting up camp with AJ,Trish,Daniel and Matt & Kate and there two toddlers. The first run was coordinated and off we went into new territory.Three 120 Diesels,One 150 Diesel, and One 120 Petrol standard no lift. All of the others were accessorized to the terrain. The first loop was easy except for Woolie taking the hard line.As per shot below,

              Trying a bir of lift.
After a couple of hours we stopped for a while and when we went to start up to move on My Prado would not turn over,Volts were down to Nine and I had no Blinkers gust to put a spanner in the works,After a few fuse checks we couldn't find a problem so a quick jump start from the auxcillary batterie of we set for the next half of the track.Getting back to camp I was down to Eight Volts and not looking good.

That is actually a good bit of footage for the Beachport area, its more than just dunes and beach. Not much beach in that snippet, but I can assure you the beach stretches are the parts to watch out for, super soft in a lot of places and the exits of the beach can be "interesting as well"

Trev, do you have the footage from the last Beachport recce with the waves crashing in front of me and the beach disappearing? Fortunately the tides will be a bit lower on the GTG then they were that day!

                            Cheers Andrew

So long as it is only the appetite that gets wet... There were a number of vehicles from another club that were swamped by waves last time we were in beach port and a lot more close calls...
