Is there any information available on where we will be staying at Beachport?

Its the Southern ocean tourist park at Beachport, I can't find a website but google brings up plenty.

Good park with good facilities, and plenty of sites, caravan park can cater for 5 times the population of Beachport

The women that runs it is a but of a nutter though!

Had a busy day today, pulled my winch out and rotated the gearbox again, fitted the control box and tested, mounted my extinguisher on the new cargo barrier, refitted the awning to sit lower on my Rhino bars,fitted the bracket for my sand flag on the crossbar, fitted LED's to both parkers and blinkers on my ARB bar and had a pre trip briefing (aka a few beers)with my mate who's joining me for the trip.
New BFG AT's going on in the next fortnight. snorkel fitted a few weeks ago so all that should be left to do is a food shop and pack and we're off

I should be making sliders, but my steel is apparantly on a truck, in Loxton but not available until tomorrow!

24 days, 2...4...days. Just saying, twentay forwa dayz. That's like soo close.

So many quality sponsor prizes, great tracks, some of the best trip leaders money can't buy ( coz no one would pay for them) and there are rumours that some VERY SPECIAL guests may be making a surprise appearance! Next year better be just as good as I'm getting extremely depressed I'm missing this one with all that's going to happen. I hope some one intends on putting up pics and video's at the end of every day ?? No excuses with today's technology lol.........Sounds like the organizers have done an absolutely brilliant job at staging all this and the amount of time organizing and costs involved with it, you need to be applauded for it. The ability to get on the net at Bendleby is at best dodgy, so maybe not much until Loxton, Redbluff same story, Zero reception out there.

Anyway, we still might be trying to get back to camp after each days fun when all you guys at home are heading to bed

Haha, good on ya AJ. If anyone knows what reception you will have it would be yourself AJ. Sounds like you have done an extreme amount of work to bring it all together, top job to you all involved. I did a shit load of running around just to so a surprise party for my mums birthday all old work friends etc and that was bad enough lol, let alone whats involved for the GTG.........on ya..Cheers Steve

By the time I get to Bendleby for the start I will have travelled approx 7000kms doing the recces, about 12 or so nights camping, and countless hundreds of hours with background work, emails, phone calls, visiting shirt and sticker suppliers...................... Add Trish's efforts which are also substantial and it has certainly been a big effort to get this far!

Not to mention the rest of the committee!

Not long until the real fun starts, cause of course we had no fun at all on the recces, they were all just hard work
