But don't worry VK, you will almost certainly get a chance to test out the mantrax, we have lots of soft sand to test you out!

Yes Hutch, pressures are crucial 10PSI on that beach is a good start!

    Cheers Andrew
Only been down near that pressure once before, about 5 years ago.
The sand was like a powder and I reckon that we would still be there digging, if we hadn't let the tyres down that far.

    • Jeepers - that does look soft! We certainly wouldn't get 30 cars through there.

I know, we'll put that beach on the map for the QLDers day trip... That should keep them busy...
      Diesel Prado with various things...

      • For those that were at the QLD GTG, remember how soft the exit off the Beach at Noosa was, well imagine that, only twice as soft, and 5 kilometers long, and that was if you could stay in the tracks created by the vehicles thorugh previously

Edit: and the sand was wet, and it was cool!

Come to the SA GTG and we will have you below 20PSI 250kms before we even get to the beach

Most of the beaches and dunes were comfortable at 16 - 18 PSI, but not all of em. Plenty for the adventurous and the not quite so adventurous at the SA GTG.

        Cheers Andrew

        • Guys, don't panic about the 10psi, that is just a starting pressure for that beach, there is still room to play from there

That beach will be a special side trip for the mentally challenged and fearless few.

Having "volunteered" to get bogged and ensure AJ's winch as well as my winch works and Wooley's experience got fast tracked I have decided that trip will be avoided by me with my time better spent getting to know those with a degree of common sense to avoid the area.

Richo, If you can drive on anything with 22PSI in SA its not sand, but rather a grainier form of bitumen.
