Well, sadly... tonight the Snaga Clan have decided to throw in the towel and accept that we just wont be able to make it to this years GTG
We must have trodden on a whole village of Chinamen, broken numerous mirrors, walked under ladders or crossed paths with a few black cats because at every turn there is something getting in the way of us getting to this years GTG.
So, I guess we'll try and salvage a family holiday and attend the "Return to Gordon Country" trip and then maybe set up a base camp at a beach park somewhere local in SEQ/northern NSW...
I soooooo wanted to get to this years GTG and was looking forward to catching up with everyone and putting a few new faces to names but I guess we'll just have to wait till the 2013 GTG
Andrew, Trish and ALL the GTG committee... thanks for all your efforts in organising this event. I know I'm going to be pissed I've missed it
Have a great week everyone!!Cheers, Leon
There's no such thing as a wrong turn... it's just the scenic route!

Sorry to hear this Snaga. Have never met you but it is never good to hear others not being able to do something that they had their heart set on.
Try and find a positive out of this negative and just think you have plenty of time now to plan for next years GTG.Tasmania 2015 GTG Committee Member 2005 Prado Pilbara, Sovereign Bar, Driver & passenger weathershields, UHF TX3220, Spare wheel spaces, Lifestyle rack, Genuine front & midrow seatcovers, Genuine front & midrow rubber floor mats, ARB 47 litre fridge/freezer, Hilux washer jets, BF Goodridge A/T, Radiator protection plate, Dual battery tray and isolator, ARB 2.5m awning, Rhino heavy duty areo bars, MSA rear wheel bin, MAXTRAX

If you can up and go JGill... my spots all yours
Honestly, I'd feel better if someone filled the spot rather than letting it go to waste.

Thanks VK...
This is one of those years where... well, 'Next years a new year'... type of year.
With the amount of GoPro's on this trip I'm hoping there will be enough footage to make it 'feel' like I was there

Sorry to read this post Snaga.
Sometimes there are insurmountable objects preventing you from doing the things that you've had your heart set on doing and the decision to not go is not an easy one to make.
As VKPrado has said you now have the GTG 2013 to aim at.
I feel disappointed now that I most likely won't be at next years GTG, as I've had September Holidays for the 2011 & 2012 GTG's & next year it is someone else's turn to have Sep hols. I am planning a trip around FNQ (Lakefield National Park & the Daintree to name a couple of spots) during the June holidays, hopefully taking a few other family's as well.
So if you do get to next years GTG make sure that you have fun for me will you? As we will have fun for you this year.
Hope to see you again at a future GTG.
Cheers
Lawrie
