well after some late nights over the last six weeks i think i'm finally done !

i installed dual batteries
got some nitto trail grappler mt's fitted
carried out a full major service (all oils filters etc etc)
made clearance for tires lol
replaced rear shocks and front lower control arms bushes
installed an inverter and 12v socket wired to my deep cycle battery
coillected heaps of strap from work lol
fitted new air line fitting for air locker
replaced front strut tops
repaired handbrake (died last pp gtg trip lol)
installed rock sliders

Rack mounted on the roof along with MaxTrax holder, esky strapped in, bow shackles cable tied in place. Just need Thursday to arrive so I can pack clothes and tent and fill the esky.

I'd have to say also, that of all the GTG's, I think I am most disappointed at missing this one. Certainly seems like its gonna be tonnes of fun and well orgynised!

The paint hasn't dried on the new bonnet scoop so looks like I will be leaving Kal sometime tomorrow before lunchtime and then it's afterburners on as I fly across the Nullabor. 2000km shouldn't take long............

Are you going along the darling from Bourke to Wilcannia? If you do make sure you stop and check out all the magnificent buildings in Wilcannia. The place is not as bad as its reputation would suggest.

Rubbish, get the flack jacket and 9mm out if you plan on leaving the vehicle. Wilcannia is best seen at speed... Haha.

They have promised me that the transmission and new clutch will be in tonight or worst case tomorrow morning. It is costing me a lot more than originally thought for the clutch, but do it once and do it right is my motto.
So at this moment in time, i should still be able to meet and greet you all Friday arvo. Really looking forward to it now. So jealous of the people already on the road!

Wilcannia - sister town of Wiluna (WA) where they have to paint their wheels and tyres with distinctive patterns just so they can identify them when the locals pinch them off your car if you drive too slowly!
